Community Development Block Grants (CDBG)
Cranberry Township is an entitlement community, which entitles the Township to share in a small portion of the States Federal Community Development Block Grant funds each year. The Township has used these funds to repair roads, build bridges, install play equipment at Morrison Park and is in the process of developing a new park near Moody Pond, conduct a comprehensive plan, install a traffic signal, build a handicap restroom at Morrison Park, and Housing Rehabilitation.
New Businesses
At this time, we are experiencing more growth than any community within Venango County. The Township helps businesses with plan review, sewage and water service, road specifications, sign requirements, zoning/code concerns, and other issues. The Township encourages business growth and works to be user friendly and informative.

Economic Development Committee
In 2017, the Township created an Economic Development Committee. The vision of the committee is: Cranberry will have a local Economic Development Committee that serves as an advocate for economic development projects and that connects with regional economic development bodies. The township will have cultivated a greater diversity of businesses that provide family supporting jobs.
The Economic Development Committee meets on the third Tuesday of each month at the Township building. The committee has multiple subcommittees and plans the Annual Business Expo (see below for details).
Business Expo
Each spring, the Economic Development Committee hosts a Business Expo at the Cranberry Mall as a way to showcase the businesses and organizations existing in Cranberry Township.
